Who we are

Shiva Vishnu Temple of South Florida Inc. (“the Temple,” “we,” “us”) operates the temple website and the Shiva Vishnu Temple mobile app for devotees of our campus at 5661 Dykes Road, Southwest Ranches, FL 33331.

Information we collect

You can browse events, hours, services, Vedavani, and contact details without creating an account. If you register as a member or turn on alerts, we may collect:

• Name, email address, and phone number
• Household name, birth date (month and day), and anniversary date
• Alert preferences (festivals, pooja, classes, Prasad Mandir, general)
• Sign-in details if you use email, Sign in with Apple, or Google
• A push-notification token for the device that should receive temple alerts
• Sponsorship and payment records that the Temple already keeps (amount, seva, date, method) so you can see them in your member account

We do not collect your precise location, photo library, contacts, or advertising identifiers. Card donations are completed on Square’s site; we do not store your full card number.

How we use information

We use this information to:

• Operate member accounts and temple alerts
• Send festival, pooja, schedule, and Prasad Mandir notices you opted into
• Show your seva and donation history
• Respond to office questions and improve temple services

We do not sell personal information. We do not use the app to track you across other companies’ apps or websites for advertising.

Service providers

We use trusted processors only to run these services:

• Supabase — account authentication and member data storage
• Apple and Google — optional sign-in
• Expo / Apple Push Notification service — temple alerts
• Square — card donations opened in the browser or Square app
• Vercel — website hosting

Retention and your choices

Member profile data is kept while your account is active. You can update alert preferences in the app, turn off notifications in iOS Settings, or delete your account in the app (Members → Delete account) or on the website member account page. Deleting an account removes your login, profile, and push token. Donation and seva amounts the Temple already recorded for its books are retained as required. You can also email info@sfshivavishnu.org to correct information.

Children

The website and app are for the temple community and are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the website or app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
